Funeral Partners
I have an ongoing relationship with How Now, a fantastic creative agency in East London. I have worked with them on various pitches and am available to take you through some of them in person.
One of their successful pitches was for Funeral Partners who wanted to produce a suite of 30 second TVCs for Sky TV. Funeral Partners wanted to communicate their Choice Funeral Plan service which allows people to pay for and plan their funerals in advance, so that their families do not have to worry.
This is a flooded market on daytime tv and the bulk of the adverts can be a little dry or depressing. To ensure stand-out we recognised that just because you are of a “certain age” doesn’t mean you have lost your sense of humour. So we came up with Maureen and Brenda, two old friends who often catch up at funerals – the reality being that these events become more regular as you age.
Funeral Partners loved the concept and scripts that I co-wrote. The production was so engaging that the ads were nominated as finalists in the 2023 Marketing Week Awards for best TV ad on a small budget.
